Can somebody on the platform team please explain why #game_end_links is sometimes given the CSS rule "display: none"? What conditional logic is in the software here?

This happens immediately for certain games. It is not related to replays. It is not related to the 24 hour rule.

People expect the "Show Final Game Situation" button to always be present. And when I do click on it (after showing it first by using the browser inspector panel), it always works properly for me. So why is it getting hidden sometimes?

See Final Game Situation doesn't work after someone views the game replay.
The game log will be summarized and is unable to execute that feature after that point.

I have done some test with jump drive where I did a replay and the button was still there hours later for someone else that played the same game.

1. "See final game situation" => works
2. "View game replay" => works
3. "See final game situation" (again) => still showing, and still works!

As you can see, your explanation doesn't apply to my Jump Drive table. So I need more from you.

Where is this code? Can you show me?

Let us debug this together! I want to work with you. I will spend however long it takes and run whichever test cases you want me to run. I am a developer too, so I will not waste your time with vague and incomplete bug reports.

Please, please, please...

I have come across this issue several times, most recently on this Caverna table: boardgamearena.com/3/caverna?table=376449517#

It's really annoying not to be able to see how it ended. I would compare it to playing an actual boardgame and somebody wins while you're in the bathroom and when you get back the game has already been boxed up.

Luckily, I know how to find the button with developer tools, but I suspect most people won't.

Please fix this!

I noticed that this problem often occurs the first time I play a game, but not again on subsequent plays of that game.

Most recently I came across this bug after my first game of The Wolves:

One of my opponents said they can see the button. So it's somehow related to my profile.

This is happening for us in Pax Pamir on mobile — no option to see final situation after game ends. Weirdly, the winner of the game DOES get the See Final Situation Button on Game Ended page, but other players do not.

This issue still persists, it's so annoying not to be able to see the end state of a game.

There are so many game developers on this site working hard to fix bugs in their games, but when it comes to the website itself it seems like nobody cares.

This shouldn't be hard to fix, there is something wrong with the display rules of one button. Please put some effort in this 🙏🏼

For me the "Final Game Situation" button should always be available. Not only 24 hours.

I can currently see buttons for "See final game situation" and "Replay the last turn": imgur.com/vDEYsZp

But two other users (Rilster21 and bradmacgregor) do not see those buttons (at the same time).

The game ended less than 24 hours ago. Please fix this so that the button(s) are consistently available for all players in the same circumstances!

Recently the see final game situation button has been missing from ALL my completed games. It’s very frustrating not being able to see what people did on their final turn/s. I agree with the statement that it’s like going to the bathroom and coming back to find the game boxed up and put away. I tried replaying and going through the log but on longer games scrolling down through hundreds of turns is time consuming, tedious, and does not give the same feedback visually as seeing the game board. I assumed this was related to a website change until I found this bug report. Please fix this!

After at least 5 games in a row missing the see final game situation button, I made an update to this bug report. Then I went back to my account and a game that ended 18 minutes ago had the see final game situation button visible and available again and it worked like usual. I tried to upload screenshots but was unsuccessful in navigating Imgur to do so. The button is still missing on all the games it was previously, though, even those completed within the last 24 hours

I am also sometimes missing the "see final game situation" button for certain games, but it is present for other games. I have not determined any pattern that causes this to happen.

It is much more time consuming to access the end game state using the replay functionality, and I can only imagine that the replay functionality would be much more resource-intensive to run!

Has any developer looked at this or responded at all yet?

I played a game of "Let's Go to Japan" and the "see final game situation" button did not show. I decided to go through the replay to see it, and the replay went all the way through but at the end, when the scoring takes place on the scoresheet, it stopped halfway through the last player's scoring. So, I couldn't even use the replay to get to the final game situation. This is my first time playing this game. Table ID: 665779459

I've stumbled on this report because I've experienced this issue several times, sporadically.

In my experience, if you have the game open on desktop browser or mobile browser when it ends, the button is always there.

If I access the game through this menu, typically on mobile, after I've already closed the browser:

That 'View Final Situation' button is missing. This typically prompts me to try to view game replay and play until the end (fast), which is definitely inefficient.

I have also noted, and want to draw attention to the fact that this flag for game_end_links is in fact set to none, and when manually modified to 'all' displays this button.

So if it helps re-creating the error, finding instances where this flag would be set to none, should help.

Le bouton pour revoir la situation finale d'une partie n'est parfois pas disponible. Cela arrive aléatoirement et sur différents jeux. Il m'arrive de ne pas avoir ce bouton alors qu'un ami jouant sur une même partie va l'avoir.

This issue only started showing up for me. Previously, see final game situation was available after a game ended. Recent games, it is not available at all. No error, just not there. Most recently Forest Shuffle : Dartmoor n°725288920 which ended 15 hours ago.

Some games that I had this problem are: Jurassic Snack, Mini Rogue, Monster Trick, Nature, 13 Clues

This has now happened to me at least twice, with Terraforming Mars and I believe Forest Shuffle. No see final game situation option. I have a view game replay button but it takes me to the beginning of the game not the end. Refreshing the page does not help.

This happened to me recently with a few games. Agricola, yahtzee and others. I feel like Im doing something wrong. I was able to see it on some games though
